Commissionaires Victoria, the Islands and Yukon, a branch of the Canada-wide security provider, has appointed Mark Breslauer as their new CEO.
With experience in the non-profit and private sectors, Breslauer has been involved in Victoria’s business community for almost a decade, serving as president and CEO of Monk Office and then as the CEO of United Way Southern Vancouver Island. During that time, the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce awarded UWSVI the Non-Profit of the Year Award. He succeeds Gary Paulson, who was the CEO for the past seven years and has now retired.
Says Breslauer, “I am very excited and honoured to lead CVIY in our mission to provide fully integrated security and innovative technology solutions to our clients.”
CVIY is one of 15 private NPO divisions comprising the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires and operates throughout Vancouver Island, Haida Gwaii and the Yukon. It is headquartered in Victoria and has 800 employees, of which approximately half are veterans.
