Cindy Mui is the Director of Business Management & Training for GAIN Group. Mui explains that GAIN really resonates with supporting local and small business.
“GAIN, is growing each year, but we are still a small business who prides ourselves in supporting local and ensuring that we foster those relationships with other businesses owners to grow together and support one another.”
As GAIN gets ready to hear this year’s 10 to Watch winners, Mui explains why it is so vital that business owners support one another. “New businesses, like many others, have challenges and have a tougher time getting out there to maximize the opportunities like one that has been around longer.”
That is why a strong business community and events like the Douglas 10 to Watch awards can be stepping stones for up-and-coming businesses. Mui says, “It’s a great platform to help them meet other businesses and also to gain an opportunity to get exposed in a setting they might not normally be exposed to.”
Mui ends the interview by saying, “We’re very fortunate to be in a city like Victoria where businesses support one another and is one that allows for so many small, unique businesses.” That is something to celebrate!
