Victoria Executive named Top 40 under 40
Avery Brohman, CEO of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation, has been named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 by the International Association for Healthcare Philanthropy for her outstanding work supporting and elevating healthcare on the Island.
The annual recognition program honors young leaders who are making a significant difference in healthcare philanthropy. Brohman is one of 12 Canadians to receive the award, which also highlights the important role philanthropy plays in our hospitals.
Brohman joined the Victoria Hospitals Foundation as Director of Development and Communications in 208, and was named Executive Director in 2019, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2022.
Under her guidance, the Foundation has achieved its highest fundraising revenues, including raising $15.4 million just last year, and securing transformational gifts like the $2.65 million donation from Seaspan Victoria Shipyards and the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation. Her efforts have also amplified the impact of the Foundation’s signature events, including the Visions gala which raised $2.5 million last year and elevated Vancouver Island fundraising.
