IN THE KNOW:

The Sky’s the Limit
Onni Group is planning the two tallest buildings on Vancouver Island. Developer Onni Group plans for soaring highrises at its residential development on Sooke Road at Goldstream Avenue. The Colwood Corners project, underway since 2017, was initially envisioned as a low-rise community. Now a rezoning application has been filed with the city for two towers pushing 33-storeys, and if built, they would stand as Vancouver Island’s tallest.

FROM THE CURRENT ISSUE OF DOUGLAS:

A Robot Wrote This Piece
In the latest issue of Douglas, we cover how technology affects your business, including
artificial intelligence. Here ChatGPT answers the question: “Will AI steal my job?”
“Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to automate certain tasks and make some
jobs obsolete. However, it’s important to note that AI is not a replacement for human
workers. Instead, it can complement and enhance their work, freeing up time for more
valuable tasks and improving productivity.”
