Local Merry Maids Awarded Top Honour for North America

VICTORIA, British Columbia (October 5, 2015) – The family-run franchise, Merry Maids of Victoria, is the first in Canada to be awarded the company’s top award. Of 370 locations across North America, Merry Maids of Victoria was presented with the Dallen Peterson Founder’s Award for exemplifying the highest quality in business operations, including customer service and employee satisfaction.   

“It is very rewarding to be recognized for what our family has put so much effort into building over the years,” said Scott Tanner, owner, Merry Maids of Victoria. “And as a parent, it’s a special moment to share with my son who has grown so much through helping with the business.”     

The family business owned by Scott and Susan Tanner – now run in part by their son Matt Tanner and Karen McClean, is in its 24th year of business. 

Some of the criteria Merry Maids of Victoria excelled at were use of social media, adaption of the leadership structure by bringing Matt and Karen into the management, but mainly their appreciation for people and dedication to building their strong team of more than 30 staff.

Merry Maids of Victoria serves Greater Victoria, Saanich Peninsula and the West Shore area. The company supports local non-profits such as The Mustard Seed and Victoria Hospitals Foundation.
