“I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Stantec team in British Columbia. There are so many great opportunities for economic growth and prosperity all across the Province and we are committed to delivering for our clients the most innovative, sustainable and cost effective design solutions possible.” David Duncan, regional leader, British Columbia.
David previously joined Stantec earlier this year, holding the office leader position for Vancouver Island while charged with developing Infrastructure opportunities across British Columbia. He has over 20 years of experience in British Columbia’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, including serving as the Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for the Highway Department. He is an authority on the intricacies of public infrastructure, government and community relations.
“David is a big picture thinker and as Regional Leader, he will find ways to facilitate connections between teams across the province to ensure we bring the very best value to our clients, both within the region and beyond.” says senior vice president for Stantec’s Canada Mountain region Russ Wlad.
As regional leader, David will be taking a more active role in business development, building on his existing relationships and knowledge of communities across British Columbia. With over 900 staff in 10 offices located throughout the province, connecting with communities is a key growth driver for Stantec in BC. The complexity of design needs in the region is mirrored by Stantec’s equally varied practice areas available in British Columbia including buildings, community development, environmental services, mining, oil and gas, transportation, and water.
