For the finest in local cuisine, drink, music and art, get your ticket now for Art + Fare 2. The celebration of Victoria food and art is back for its second year, and all proceeds benefit the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (AGGV)’s children and family educational programming and the conservation and preservation of its collection.

Art + Fare 2 takes place September 24, 2016, and is put on by the Union Club of British Columbia—some of the earliest members of the Union Club of British Columbia were architects  Francis Rattenbury and Samuel Maclure, who were also founding members of Victoria’s arts community.

“The Union Club has always had a close connection to the arts in Victoria and we’re very grateful for their ongoing support,” says Jon Tupper, director of the AGGV. “Last year’s event was absolutely fantastic and I’m looking forward to another wonderful evening.”

The event will feature unique exhibitions by a number of Victoria’s finest art galleries. Guests will have opportunity to view and even purchase unique pieces for their own collections.

The Union Club’s acclaimed Executive Chef Jeffrey Brothers will direct the evening’s local cuisine. “Victoria and its surrounding farmlands are at the forefront of local, sustainable food practices in Canada and we choose local as much as possible,” says David Hammonds, General Manager of The Union Club of BC.

Guests will also be treated to live music by popular Victoria-band Hung Jury and a 19th century salon atmosphere in the Union Club’s historic and grand neo-Georgian building, which was inspired by the classic clubs of London. The Union Club of British Columbia is located in the heart of downtown Victoria, near Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour at 805 Gordon Street.
