Alberni Valley Launches Meetings Website

(News Release) PORT ALBERNI — Alberni Valley Tourism has launched a new website aimed at encouraging groups and associations to consider the Alberni Valley for their next annual meeting or conference.
The new website features information about hotel group rates and meetings facilities, an event calendar, and special incentives for interested groups. The website also highlights popular activities and attractions in the Alberni Valley such as a 1929 steam engine train ride that takes groups on a wine tasting tour or a day-cruise aboard the M.V. Frances Barkley.
“It really is a unique, affordable location,” says Jonathan Cross, the committee chairman of the Alberni Valley Tourism Council. “And the website is designed to help people discover the Alberni Valley as another option out there when searching for Vancouver Island meeting places.”
