Rossini’s deliciously frothy take on the traditional fairytale conjures up a handsome prince, a beastly stepfather, bickering stepsisters, a beautiful heroine – and sheer magic in the music.
CINDERELLA features acclaimed mezzo soprano Julie Boulianne in the title role with Brian Stucki as Don Ramiro, her handsome prince. Tyler Duncan is Dandini, the prince’s valet, Terry Hodges returns to POV as Don Magnifico, Cinderella’s stepfather, and Marianne Lambert and Victoria-raised Marion Newman are Clorinda and Tisbe, the selfish stepsisters.
