GVDA and Victoria Mayor to boost business opportunities in China

(News Release) VICTORIA — The Greater Victoria Development Agency and the City of Victoria are leading a delegation to China in late October, building on the momentum of a successful 2010 Trade Mission to China that garnered over $10 million for the local economy. The mission will feature activities in five to six Chinese cities with delegations from the education and tourism sectors already confirmed. Mayor Dean Fortin will facilitate introductions to key decision-makers in these cities for Victoria businesses. Mayors are held in especially high regard in China and hold tremendous clout when making introductions. The GVDA will host a series of information sessions for businesses interested in capitalizing on this trade mission.
