Nominees Sought for Crystal Awards

(News Release) VICTORIA — The deadline for the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce 6th Annual Crystal Awards is coming up on September 7, 2012. The Crystal Awards recognize outstanding accomplishments and contributions of businesses and non-profit organizations, large and small, on the Saanich Peninsula in sustaining and enhancing the economic and social wellbeing of the community .
This years award categories are:
Business of the Year Award: 1-15 employees
Business of the Year Award: 16+ employees
Not-for-Profit Organization of the Year
Contribution to the Community
Green Business of the Year
Entrepreneurial Spirit
New Business
Employer of the Year
New product or service
Outstanding customer service
Newsmaker of the year
Life-time Achievement Award
The Crystal Awards take place on Thursday, October 1, 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Blue Poppy Restaurant, Butchart Gardens. There will be a reception, dinner, and awards ceremony. According to the Peninsula Chamber, there will be a special MC for the night and a keynote speaker.
