Milestones Celebrating 20 Years in Business

Created around a food philosophy that serves up familiar foods with a unique twist, the first Milestones opened in Vancouver in 1989, while the Victoria Milestones opened in 1992. Set directly below the busiest visitor centre in Canada with arguably the best roof-top patio with the view of the city, Milestones Inner Harbour location is a restaurateurs’ dream.
“I was here the very first day we opened our doors and the community truly welcomed us with open arms,” says Pat Allabarton, general manager of Milestones Restaurants.
“While the location is outstanding for our tourism traffic, we would never have been as successful if we also didn’t provide a level of service and creative menu that kept locals coming back for more.”
Located at 812 Wharf Street and within a designated heritage site, Milestones Inner Harbour underwent a top-to-bottom renovation in 2007.
As an employer, Milestones Inner Harbour has put hundreds of students through university and helped guests celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other life milestones. Chef Charles Gelling has also been with the restaurant for more than 10 years, ensuring local favourites that kicked off the menu 20 years ago are matched with new dishes that help Milestones become Canada’s leading upscale dining restaurants.
