The Cridge Centre for the Family Announces New Manager, Communication & Fund Development.The Cridge Centre for the Family is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Whissell to the position of Manager, Communication & Fund Development. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for maintaining the reputation and relationships of The Cridge Centre for the Family as well as ensuring financial support for our diverse programs.
Shannon holds a Master of Arts degree (Interdisciplinary Studies) from the University of Northern BC and has a professional background in education, communications, corporate relations and non-profit consulting. Shannon previously taught Business Communications at Royal Roads University and academic writing at Camosun College. She has provided communications, event planning and fund-raising consulting services for local organizations and communications consulting for local businesses.
As someone who loves Victoria and its people, Shannon is excited to be furthering the important work of The Cridge Centre for the Family. Her enthusiasm, commitment and passion for creating community connections will be valuable assets as she honors the 137 year legacy of the organization while expanding the contribution The Cridge Centre for the Family makes in our communit
