Position/Status: Permanent/Part timeDescription:
This position is responsible for processing wire transfers, Exotic Payments, bank-to-bank transfers and EFT transactions as well as providing customer service to our branch locations. This position will be supporting the North American region. The primary hours of work for this position are from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm PST Sunday through Thursday. Some statutory holidays may be required. Note: candidates must be flexible with their hours of availability to accommodate changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process a large volume of electronic payments within tight time restrictions
- Track and report on daily payment activity.
- Provide consistent, quality customer service to assist our branches in facilitating customer transactions
- Communicate effectively with banking partners to ensure timely processing of payments.
- Work with team members in the Treasury Department to track payment flows and resolve any issues related to payments.
- Understand and follow company policies, risk and compliance processes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to multi task, work accurately and independently to process large volumes of payments prior to cutoff times.
- Proven ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Strong computer/internet and keyboarding skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Problem solving and decision making skills - mathematical and analytical ability preferred.
- Proven ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in Business or Finance - preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 6 months to 1 year work experience within the financial services industry.
